Creating Spaces That Transform

Creating Spaces That Transform

Our designs stem from the deeply held belief that space is multidimensional and as such, the more dimensions you can access the more space you can create. We access additional dimensions through the use of both the latest technology in landscape automation and through time-tested design principles.

With automation technology, we can create spaces that can transform between different states while maintaining a sense of balance. With the appropriate design, a space can be both an enclosure that creates a strong sense of refuge and a stage for entertaining. It is the appropriate use of technology that allows a space to seamlessly transition between these two states.

Entertainment systems that appear from ceiling cavities, hidden BBQs that rise out of a deck floor and a dining table that emerges from a stone wall are all examples of how spaces can be transformed from a space of refuge to space for entertaining.

Through considered design, we ensure that the spaces we create instil a sense of comfort by being balanced regardless of which state they are in. Focalization is a key design principle and a strong focal point creates a sense of consistency between the different states our designs accommodate. While a space may transform from refuge to entertaining, the focal point will remain the same and in a sense, it connects the two states. In our designs, interesting proportions may appear as emergent, but in fact, they are engineered visual elements and the result of carefully considered arrangements that create lines which connect and organise the design in a way that draws people into the space.

Through the repetition of selected visual elements and considered intervals we create spaces that have their own rhythm and through the use of technology to modify points of interest in the design we can create tone and set moods.Spaces don’t just exist. They can be created.
